Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club has announced the appointment of former captain Abdulrahman Bashir as the club’s Team Trainer.

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club has announced the appointment of former captain Abdulrahman Bashir as the club’s Team Trainer.

Bashir previously captained ABS Ilorin FC and had a playing career that included spells with Enyimba FC, Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United, Wikki Tourists, Sunshine Stars and Plateau United. He was also invited to the Nigeria U-23 National Team and travelled to Europe for professional trials.

Speaking on the appointment, Director of Football, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, said the decision aligns with the vision of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki to use football as a platform for youth empowerment and talent development.

In addition to his appointment, ABS FC will sponsor Abdulrahman Bashir for a coaching course at the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Lagos, as part of the club’s technical development plan.

The club believes the appointment will support its player development structure and continuity.
