KWARA COMMUNITY APPLAUDS SENATOR SADIQ UMAR'S LANDMARK UPGRADE OF AKEREBIATA FOOTBALL FIELD, BRINGING JOY AND HOPE TO ASPIRING STARS
The Alangua Ibagun Okelele, Mallam Sakariyau, has hailed Senator Sadiq Umar for making history by upgrading the Akerebiata football field.
The Chief of Okelele, Mallam Sakariyau Alangua Ibagun, Okelele of Ilorin East, Kwara State, described the initiative as a dream come true for the community.
In a statement, Mallam Sakariyau expressed his profound gratitude to the Senator for bringing this much-needed development to the Akerebiata Government Day Secondary School Football Field.
"This is a thing of joy that we have been waiting for a long time, and I am overwhelmed with excitement seeing the upgrading underway at the school football field," he said.
The monarch praised the Kwara State FA Chairman, Mallam Musa Idris Abdullahi Turaya, for his instrumental role in ensuring the success of grassroots football development in the community and the state at large.
"I thank our great Senator Sadiq Umar, whose love for the game and community knows no bounds. I pray that God will continue to make him great beyond his expectations and grant all his heart's desires," he said.
Mallam Sakariyau believes that the upgrading of the football field will bring development and unity among the youth within the community, providing a platform for them to engage in positive activities and become future stars like Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Gatas, and many other big players who has make Nigeria proud with their talents.
"Football is a game that I love so much, and everyone in the community can testify to it. I often put other things aside to enjoy watching the game.
I charge the Ilorin East Local Government Chairman and every other politician in the local government to see this as a wake-up call to invest big in their community," he urged.
The Senator's gesture has brought joy and hope to the community, and it is seen as a testament to his commitment to the development of Kwara State, particularly in the area of sports development.
