Nationwide League One, NLO, action in the Ilorin Centre ended on a high note out as Matchday 3 fixtures concluded with commendable sportsmanship and professionalism at the Rasidi Yekini Stadium, Kwara State.

NLO Ilorin Centre Coordinator, Akorede Kehinde Monsor, praised participating clubs for adhering to league regulations and lauded match officials for their professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
“I am impressed with the level of discipline displayed by everyone involved,” Akorede said on Sunday.Andy thank God that the pre-season meeting and seminar we held before the commencement of the league have yielded positive impact. I encourage all teams to maintain this fighting spirit.”
Akorede noted that the Kwara Centre has been fiercely competitive, adding that it is still too early to predict a winner. “The league remains open to any team. We have seen dedication and determination from all sides aiming to emerge victorious,” he stated.

Reflecting on last season, the coordinator said lessons had been learned. “Last year we had two teams from Ilorin reach the playoffs but both lost their chances of promotion. With the way things look this season, I believe any team that emerges from the Ilorin Centre will surely qualify for the Nigeria National League, NNL.”
He appealed for unity among stakeholders. “My advice to participating teams is to see ourselves as one big family. We must give maximum support to whichever team emerges as Ilorin Centre champions and represents the state.”
Akorede also clarified the qualification format for the 2026 season. “Based on this year’s fixture arrangement, one team will qualify for the playoffs from the two groups. The winners of Group A and Group B will face each other, and the winner of that match will represent Kwara State at the national playoffs.”
He commended match officials for their performance and urged them to sustain the standard. “I charge all participating teams to maintain their conduct, and to the match officials, keep up the good work. I commend your brilliant performance.”
The NLO Ilorin Centre will continue with Matchday 4 fixtures at the Kwara Football Academy, with matches scheduled weekly.
