Double Chairman hails team’s “wake-up call” performance after Hassan brace and Bilal strike seal dominant win for Surprise Football Academy
The Double Chairman of Kwara United Fans Club and Surprise Football Academy, Mallam Tajudeen Osogun, has pledged increased support for Surprise FA following the team’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Barca Kiddies in Match Week 3 of the Kwara Kiddies League on Saturday, 20 June 2026.
The win marked a dramatic turnaround for Surprise FA after an average start to the season. The Ilorin-based football academy lost their opening fixture before settling for a draw against Kwara Football Academy in Match Week 2.
Describing the victory as a product of dedication and renewed commitment, Mallam Osogun hailed the boys’ teamwork and fighting spirit.
“This is a wake-up call to action. After our loss and draw in the first two games, the boys have shown what hard work can produce. I commend their dedication and I promise them more support and commitment from the management,” he said.
In a post-match interview, the Surprise FA coach also lauded the players’ performance, saying he was overwhelmed by the 3-goal margin.
“I thank my chairman and our supporters who came out en masse to back the team. We will build on this brilliant performance in our next game by God’s grace. We know it’s a long league, but we will sustain this tempo with more effort and dedication,” the coach stated.
