Ilorin Son to Repeat History": El-Lado CEO Tunji Muhammad Backs Coach Kabiru Dogo for Challenge Cup Glory as El-Kanemi Warriors Take on Ikorodu City in Asaba.

The Chief Executive Officer of El-Lado Motors and El-Lado Bottled Water, Mallam Tunji Muhammad, has thrown his full weight behind El-Kanemi Warriors Technical Adviser, Coach Kabiru Dogo, ahead of the club’s Challenge Cup final against Ikorodu City of Lagos.
Mallam Muhammad, a football enthusiast and philanthropist based in Asaba, Delta State, described Coach Dogo — an indigene of Ilorin, Kwara State — as a "son of the soil" and "chief" whose potential victory would be a source of pride for the people of Kwara.
In a statement released on the eve of the final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, the El-Lado boss said he is rallying support to ensure Coach Dogo emerges victorious.
"It will be a thing of joy if Coach Kabiru Dogo can follow in the footsteps of another great son of Ilorin, Coach Tunde Sanni, who etched his name in history by winning the trophy for Kwara United for the very first time last year. My prayer is to see another Kwaran, an Ilorin indigene, win it back-to-back," Muhammad stated.

"I will be elated if another Ilorin man, Coach Kabiru Dogo, who is now at the helm of El-Kanemi Warriors, can replicate that feat by lifting the trophy for his team."
He further noted that Kwara State is blessed with exceptional football minds and expressed confidence that with the right support and encouragement, Coach Dogo can deliver.

As part of his commitment, Mallam Muhammad said he would leverage his influence in Asaba to mobilize more supporters and fans to cheer the Maiduguri-based side in tomorrow’s final.
"I charge all Kwarans, particularly Ilorin indigenes residing in Delta and Asaba, to come out en masse and support Coach Kabiru Dogo," he added
"The stage is set, and we are fully behind his quest for victory."
El-Kanemi Warriors will take on Ikorodu City in the highly anticipated Challenge Cup final on Saturday 11th July 2026 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
