The 2nd Edition of the Young Stars Super 4 Football Tournament concluded in grand style on Sunday 2 August 2026, with Team C emerging champions after a keenly contested final.
The tournament, which featured four teams drawn from different categories within the club — Team A, B, C and D — was wrapped up with a colourful and thrilling award ceremony that celebrated talent, unity and sportsmanship.
In the final, Team C edged Team A 1-0 to lift the 2026 title, while Team D finished 3rd overall.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Club Chairman, ably represented by the Vice Chairman, popularly known as (SUSU) Chukwujekwu Ogum, who supervised the final and closing events, commended all participating teams for their discipline and exemplary conduct throughout the competition.
“They have been true ambassadors of the club. I urge you to maintain this standard wherever you find yourselves,” he said.
He also encouraged young talents yet to join the club to take advantage of the platform, adding: “Our priority is to promote unity among ourselves, help one another, and build a strong football family.”
The Vice Chairman reminded the players that the objective of the club extends beyond winning trophies.
“It’s never just about winning. It’s about coming together as one big family, enjoying ourselves, and creating unforgettable memories,” he added.
He congratulated Team C on their victory and charged other teams to double their efforts ahead of next year’s edition.
He also extended special appreciation to Toney Sports for sponsoring most of the awards presented at the ceremony, as well as to the Founder and Chairman of the club, the CEO of Bliss Supermarket, and all club members for their contributions and unwavering support towards the success of the tournament.
The 2026 Young Stars Super 4 ended on a high note, reaffirming the club’s commitment to grassroots football development and youth engagement.
